Turmeric Smoothie

“Dont Forget Your vitamin-c!”

This smoothie, thanks to the turmeric, will help reduce inflammation in nasal passades, also
release histamines. It then gets mixed with kefir for a drink that’s as beautiful as it is
delicious. Don’t knock it ‘till you try it!

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  2. 2 tsp. grated peeled fresh turmeric
  3. 1/2 tsp. orange zest plus 1/2 c. juice
  4. 1/2 cup plain unsweetened kefir

Instruction:

In blender, puree mango, turmeric, orange zest, and orange juice until smooth, about 1 minute. Holding tall glass at an angle, pour in smoothie, keeping smoothie to one side of glass. Slowly pour kefir on top, then swirl with straw and serve.
